Which evening suits you?
The house is open from Tuesday to Saturday, and each evening has its own character. This page sets them out so that a newcomer may choose the one that fits. Each evening opens at half past five and closes at half past nine.
What is arranged on each evening?
How should a newcomer choose?
I generally recommend Tuesday to those who have never played a role-playing game, and Saturday to those who have played elsewhere and wish to see how we do things. Tuesday is quieter, the games are shorter, and a Guide is assigned to every newcomer from the moment of arrival, so that nobody has to ask twice for help.
Wednesday and Thursday are the evenings on which the long stories and strategies proceed, and it is kinder to the regulars if a newcomer joins those after a first visit. Friday suits anybody who wishes, one day, to lead a table, and the workshop is open to those who only wish to watch. No evening is closed to a newcomer, and none requires any previous knowledge.
Those who work rosters might consider which evenings fall within their weeks at home, and tell the organiser, who keeps a list. A member who can attend only on Saturdays is no less a member, and a table can generally be arranged around them.
Which evening would you like to attend?
A seat will be kept for you and a Guide will be told to expect you. Please give the evening you prefer and an address at which we may confirm it, and mention any adjustment that would make the evening easier for you.
