What do the cookies on this site do?
Three kinds of browser storage may be present on this site, one of which comes from the map. This page names them, says what each is for and explains how to remove them.
Which cookies does the site use?
The kinds we use
The site uses two small items of browser storage of its own. One records that you confirmed you are 18 or over, so that you are not asked again on the same device. The other records your cookie choice. Neither contains your name or any detail that could identify you, and neither is shared with anyone outside the guild.
Consent is off by default
Every optional cookie and every analytics tag is switched off until you press OK on the cookie banner. The age confirmation is needed for the site to work and is therefore saved as soon as you give it. Nothing else is saved before you agree, and nothing is ticked on your behalf.
Analytics tags
The site may load an audience-measurement tag, but only after you have pressed OK. Until then no such tag is loaded and nothing is sent to any analytics service. If you never press OK, you will never be measured, and the site will work in the same way.
The map
The map on the page headed Where to meet us is loaded from a map service as soon as the page opens, without waiting for your consent, and it may set cookies of its own. Those cookies belong to the map provider, whose own notice describes them. We do not use advertising cookies and we share nothing with advertisers.
How may you change your mind?
Managing your choice
You may delete both items at any time by clearing the data of this site in your browser settings. The next time you visit, the age notice and the cookie banner will appear again and you may choose afresh. Most browsers also allow you to block or delete cookies from a single site without affecting any others, and to browse in a private window that forgets everything when it is closed.
How long things last
Our own two items remain until you remove them. Anything set by the map provider follows the provider's own rules, which you may read on its website, and which may change without our knowledge. If we ever add another item it will be listed in the table below before it is switched on.
